Pax Autocratica system requirements
Short answer · Will it run on my PC
16 GB of RAM and 40 GB of free space, on 64-bit Windows 10 or later.
The official figures
Copied from the Steam store listing exactly as published, including the manufacturer symbols and the spacing. Rows shaded below are word for word identical in both columns.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | WINDOWS® 10 (64-BIT Required) | identical to minimum |
| Processor | Intel i5-8600 / AMD Ryzen 5 1600x | Intel i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or equivalent |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | identical to minimum |
| Graphics | 1080p: Nvidia® GTX 1060 6G / RX 480 (6GB+ of VRAM) | 1440p: Nvidia® GTX 1070 8G / AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 (8GB+ of VRAM) | Nvidia® GTX 2060 Super / RX 5700 XT (8GB+ of VRAM) |
| DirectX | Version 11 | identical to minimum |
| Storage | 40 GB available space | identical to minimum |

The thing worth noticing
Four of the six rows carry the same value in both columns:OS, Memory, DirectX, Storage.Source, primary tier: Steam storefront appdetails API, appid 1067360, published by Valve. Opens in a new tab. Only the processor and the graphics rows differ at all.
That has a practical consequence most requirement pages skip. The usual mental model isif I fall short of recommended I can still scrape by on minimum. Here there is no scraping by on memory, storage, DirectX or Windows version: those numbers are the same either way. If you have 8 GB of RAM, you are below the floor, not below the ceiling.
Requirement checker
This checks the four things the official figures state precisely enough to check. It does not score your processor or graphics card, and the section below the results explains why we are refusing instead of guessing.
Answer the four questions above and the result appears here.
Why we do not score your CPU or graphics card
Because doing it properly needs a benchmark table, and the public benchmark sites disagree with each other enough that a verdict built on them would be a guess wearing a lab coat. A tool that tells you your card is 12% short sounds far more certain than the underlying data supports.
What we can tell you, without inventing anything, is what the named parts are:
- The minimum processors named are the Intel i5-8600 andAMD Ryzen 5 1600X, which are Intel's 8th generation and AMD's first Ryzen generation. That tells you roughly which era the developer aimed at. It does not tell you how your particular chip compares.
- The graphics row is the only requirement that is split by resolution: it names one pair of cards for 1080p and a different, higher pair for 1440p, each with a stated VRAM floor of 6 GB and 8 GB respectively.Source, primary tier: Steam storefront appdetails API, appid 1067360, published by Valve. Opens in a new tab. If you are between the two, the developer's own framing suggests dropping to 1080p before buying a card.
Mac, Linux and Steam Deck
There is no macOS build and no native Linux build. Steam lists Windows as the only supported platform.Source, primary tier: Steam storefront appdetails API, appid 1067360, published by Valve. Opens in a new tab.
Steam Deck is a separate question, because the Deck runs the Windows build through Proton. Valve rates this game Playable, not Verified, and logged specific reasons.Source, primary tier: Steam Deck / SteamOS compatibility test results, published by Valve. One more thing before you install
The developer publishes a health warning with the store description:This game contains flashing lights that may make it unsuitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions. Player discretion is advised.
